In March 2014, Arts & Events Programming presented a production of Arthur Miller's The Crucible, which was directed by Paula Sperdakos and featured performances by UTSC's Theatre & Performance Studies students. In this series of videos, the cast involved in the production discuss the reasons for mounting the play and their growth as performers and members of the crew talk about their experiences working on the show.

On January 30, 2013, Arts & Events Programming presented a unique musical and visual arts performance experience featuring indie folk rock band Evening Hymns and Toronto-based projection artist Sean Frey. Performing a collection of work originally commissioned by SummerWorks 2012, the artists took the audience on a musical and visual adventure as they explored the themes of loss, pain, and hope.

In this video, Jonas Bonnetta of Evening Hymns talks about how the collaboration came to be and performs "Family Tree", a song from Evening Hymn's latest album entitled Spectral Dusk.

As part of our 2012 Winter Blues Festival celebrations, the Juno-nominated world music ensemble AUTORICKSHAW came to UTSC and gave a free concert and afternoon choral clinic.

Formed in 2003, AUTORICKSHAW lies on the cutting edge of culture by creating a fusion of jazz, funk and Indian classical and popular music. Led by the stellar vocals of Suba Sankaran, AUTORICKSHAW also features Ed Hanley on tabla, Dylan Bell on bass/keys/beatbox, and Patrick Graham on percussion/multikit.

Each year, Arts & Events Programming organizes Spring Awakening, a concert series that features performances by UTSC's various music ensembles. This past year, the UTSC Concert Band and special guest Dr. Michael Barth (trumpet) gave a special performance of Zequinha de Abreu's Tico, Tico.
